Anamorphic and Aspect Ratio.

Considered to be a fundamental part of cinematography is the aspect ratio. Due to going through many, many different picture styles such as CineScope, VistaVision, 4:3 finalising with the standardised cinematic of 2:39:1, we have created a generic format in which media must be played. Referring to mostly Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises”, we can certainly see the aspect ratio changing every two scenes. Strangely we only see the extreme cinematic style of 2:39:1 during the action shots. His latest film “Interstellar” switches of only 1:43:1 and 2:40:1. It seems he only shoots in such a visually compact area in epic sequences and movies.
