I moved in the middle of the week, so come the weekend it was time to lace up the running shoes and go for a bit of a run around the new area in an effort to become familiar with my surroundings.
I got up relatively early for a Saturday morning and ran/walked the 7km to the gym, got in a shoulder work out, before having something to eat and walking back.
That was followed by a bike ride in the afternoon before slugging around in the evening and not doing a great deal.
Sunday was almost a repeat of Saturday, minus the bike riding business.
So I’m happy I racked up a fair few kilometres over the weekend, and now looking forward to “legs” today at the gym (no running or cycling today)
A nice change of scenery from pounding the road.
