With less than two weeks to the big day, the bells are certainly ringing loud and clear. Hope you’re having fun battling the heat, then entering the cool, refrigerated air of a shopping centre which provides a moment’s respite before you commence battling the hordes of people. At last, years of dodge ball at school are finally paying off.
As you can guess, the City of Armadale’s Christmas Carols were the perfect antidote to the harried commercialism that this time of year can produce. We’ve all been there, circling ever emptying shelves, ready to snatch a bargain right from under someone else’s nose while pretending we normally pick up things with the reflexes of a ninja. So spending the evening sitting in a park with family and friends, perfect weather (at last we got it right!), while belting out our favourite Christmas carols was a very welcome change.
