The best cheap stills/video camera available

The Sony a5100 is, in my opinion the best cheap stills/video camera available right now.  In addition to several pro features like an APS-C sized sensor, focus peaking, zebras, & dual/backup file recording, it records in the new high bit rate (50 Mbps) format, XAVC-S.  This is the same format used by the A7s & A7II.  I would suggest getting the body only, getting a cheap Nikon or Canon lens adapter, and hunting for some vintage lenses.  You can adapt almost any brand of lens to Sony E-Mount cameras.  Learn to manual focus with this little guy.  The best part… it’s currently on sale at most retailers for $200 off the list price, $348 down from $548.  Oh, & by the way it takes great stills too.

Whether you are a beginner looking for a solid full-featured camera to start with, or a pro that could use a quality camera…
