Have you ever said something to get someone’s attention?

If you’re human, the answer is yes. But here’s another question;

Have you ever said something bad to get someone’s attention?

Unfortunately, most of you have. I have, anyways. I’ve called people names in order to get them to look at me. Nothing drastic, but enough to make me wonder what I was thinking at the time.

Say there’s someone you really look up to. Maybe it’s your teacher, someone’s older sibling, or even a parent. You want them to pay attention to you, usually. To get that, you go out of your way to make sure you stand out. You show the best side of yourself, hoping they’ll notice just how amazing you are.

But what about that one person you really can’t stand? Do you walk up to them and give them a hug? It’s more likely that you make sure they know you…
